- Responsible for all phases of complex, RF circuit assembly designs including requirements analysis, architecture development, specification, design, test and documentation release.
- Ability to work in a team environment and negotiate solutions among functional groups. Works with software, digital/control, mechanical engineers and other engineering staff to evaluate interfaces between hardware and software and meet key performance requirements of overall system
- RF/Microwave design using active, passive and MMIC components
- Evaluation of system parameters such as P-1dBm, IP3, phase noise, impedance matching, spurious, isolation…
- RF/analog hardware designs may include but are not limited to synthesizers, filters, high speed DACs and/or ACDs, matching circuits, front ends, RF switching, small signal amplifiers, power amplifiers.
- Responsible for monitoring progress and reporting status to supervisors
- Provide technical oversight and guidance to junior engineers
- Lead efforts in development of a major RF/microwave circuit design including defining architecture to meet high level requirements, defining detailed specifications, simulating, designing and testing/validating circuitry
- Lab equipment such as spectrum/vector/network analyzers, oscilloscopes, noise measuring equipment and signal generators
- Documentation testing and debugging of circuit design and all associated hardware interfaces
- Technical mentoring of junior engineers or technical staff
